THE OVERVIEW

“I tell my kids I'll buy it tomorrow - and hope they forget

Burmor Construction have recently committed their support to More Than Homes, a campaign led by Accent Housing Group as a response to increased demand for food banks. The More than Homes campaign encourages housing associations and sector partners to come together to tackle the stigma associated with using food banks, and raise £1m for The Trussell Trust.

A key to survival, and a basic necessity in life, the imbalance of families and individuals that are going without food is a societal injustice and one that needs addressing.

OUR INTENTIONS
It is important to Burmor that we follow our intent to support with action. We see our role in the More Than Homes campaign as not only being a drive to raise money, but also changing the narrative and stigma that surrounds the use of foodbanks.

We will be reaching out to locations within our region to offer our time as volunteers, as well as helping to raise awareness of the cause during our visits to local schools and colleges. If we can make a small perceptive changes amongst future generations, the reduction of stigma will mean more families will not

Our yearly charity football tournament is going to be host to a raffle filled with great prizes, and all proceeds will be donated to support the national effort.
