Team Burmor get vital funds across the line in cambridge
‘As the sun began to rise over Cambridge, the sky painted itself in soft hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the historic city. The calm morning air was crisp but promising, filling the streets with the sense of a perfect day ahead. The tranquil River Cam glistened in the early light, and the iconic spires and ancient buildings stood proudly against the backdrop of a cloudless sky. It was the kind of morning that seemed made for a challenge, where the beauty of the day and the energy of the city came together, creating the ideal atmosphere for a memorable half marathon. The stage was set for something special, and the runners were ready to embrace the journey ahead’.
We are incredibly proud of our team of 9 for completing the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon yesterday! Their determination, energy, and teamwork not just yesterday, but over the past few month's training showed exactly what they're made of.
Not only have they challenged themselves physically, but they have also gone above and beyond, raising money for our chosen charities CareZone and Peterborough Foodbank through our new #helpforhomes initiative, making every step of the journey meaningful. Their commitment to both personal achievement and giving back is inspiring, and we couldn't be prouder of their efforts and the impact they’ve made. It was a day of triumph, individually and collectively.
We are extremely grateful to all that donated, of whom we will be personally thanking in due course. Big shout out to Michael Rooke-Hardy at Travis Perkins, our highest sponsor and for providing the team shirts to run in on the day, I think you'll agree the team looked the part!
Don't forget, you can still donate before we hand over the vital funds to our chosen charities; just head to https://lnkd.in/ePpjr-XG
Well done to all our runners: Patrick Burke, Andrew Hubbert, Connor Hare, Lee Winter, Jack Wycherley, Chris Broom, Megan Krstic, Cameron Harris, Darren Green, Georgia Freeman.
This was Burmor’s first fundraiser of the year, which has been a huge success, however we now look ahead to our Annual Football Tournament due to take place in the Summer. Stay tuned for dates and further information about how you can get involved!
