Breaking ground since 1978!

New client, new collaboration, new site.

We are proud to be delivering 40 homes for new client, Flagship Group, and welcomed their team on site in Narborough for a turf cutting ceremony as the project gets underway. As we continue to grow as a business, so does our radius, so it is great to see another build in the picturesque Norfolk countryside.

This project has opened doors to local sub-contractors as well as small local businesses that we intend to support throughout the build; a big thank you to Margaret’s Tearooms in Swaffham for organising an excellent takeaway afternoon tea for the event!

With spades in hand, Senior Quantity Surveyor for the project, Sam Harwin, and Flagships Project Manager, Oleg Barsoukov, memorably marked the start of this scheme that will see the use of Modern Methods of Construction to provide high quality Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership homes using LoCal Homes timber frame system. In attendance at the event was Flagship Head of Partnerships, Anna Cook-Bacon, Sales and Partnership Manager for LoCal Homes, Mike Doolan, and Burmors own Luke Boekestyn and Site Manager, Adam Kirby.

Oleg Barsoukov, Flagship, said of the project;

“Working with Burmor to help deliver these new homes to Narborough is something we’re really happy with. It’s exciting to be using Modern Methods of Construction to create homes that are more comfortable and efficient from the outset.

This is another step forward towards fulfilling our vision of solving the housing crisis, and we look forward to working closely with Burmor to deliver quality affordable homes that people will be proud of.”

Mike Doolan, LoCal, added;

It was great to join both Flagship Group and Burmor Construction on site at Chalk Lane.

“LoCaL Homes is looking forward to manufacturing and delivering the Eco-100 timber frame system as part of this development. With factory fitted insulation made from recycled materials, Flagship Homes will benefit from a much faster build onsite.”

We look forward to seeing the project progress. Read more about the development here.
