Private: Passivhaus - Ramsey, Peterborough

During 2018 we were appointed by Mole Architecture to construct a one off bespoke Passivhaus for a private client in Peterborough.

The Passivhaus was constructed and finished with imported Siberian Larch timber cladding with each board carefully set out to achieve a striking design. The house boasted its renewable technologies with PV panels on the roof and MVHR ventilation throughout the entire house as well as solar gains being maximised through the placement of external glazing to the south elevation of the house. The scheme also benefitted from a private Klargester tank converting the foul sewage into treated water that could be discharged naturally into the ground.

Careful planning and coordination allowed this house to achieve excellent airtight results with no retrospective penetrations through the Passivehaus structure being required on site.
