Burmor continue to promote employability.

A visit to Staniland Academy

2 weeks ago, our very own Jack Wycherley and Cameron Harris had the pleasure of visiting Staniland Academy to talk to the year 6 students about their career journeys!

They said they found it so rewarding to share their experiences and offer advice on how the students can follow their passions and reach their goals. These bright young minds are full of potential, and as a business, we are excited to see where their dreams take them as with every set of students we speak to. We thank the school for having our staff and maybe, just maybe, they may have some future stars in the construction world in the ranks...who knows?!

As part of our social value strategy, we find it hugely beneficial to target schools within the community where our sites are within a 30 mile radius, and we measure, monitor and report on this as part of raising employability locally. You’ll see more and more of these types of interactions as the business continues to grow.

If you have any questions about our social value strategy, would like to get more involved or have new ideas, Jack would welcome further discussions.
