Signed, sealed, delivered!

LoCal Factory Tour: 25 January 2023

We have multiple housing projects that are being built using the trusted timber frame systems from LoCal Homes, and our current project for client Platform Housing Group is taking the next step in being ahead of the curve with the Future Homes Standard 2025. It is an important part of our process to work closely with the client in the delivery of these homes, and being able to visit the factory to understand the manufacturing process and see the frames being built first-hand, is an integral part of our development as a company.

The Burmor Quantity Surveyor leading the project, Megan Bemrose, alongside Director, Luke Boekestyn, had the pleasure of touring the factory with Head of Business Development and Innovation at Platform, Katie Gilmartin, and her colleagues Sabina Cox, Chloe Finnegan and Daniel Hodson. The unique element to this project are the 6 plots that meet the predicted Future Homes Standards, and the work that LoCal have done on producing the ECO 200 system and ensuring the brick slips used on these plots have been colour matched in keeping with the other 35 dwellings - and they certainly got our seal of approval! We will be following our signed timber frame panel from the factory, and look forward to receiving it on site.

Thank you to the LoCal team, special shout out to Mike Doolan and Robyn Pedley, for opening their doors to us. Watch this space for more updates!
