Stars shine for Deeping Utd U8’s as Burmor sponsor the 24/25 season.

Burmor were pleased to continue their sponsorship for Deeping Utd U8’s for another season by providing the team with their kit and training jackets as per last season. Ben Wilson who manages the team said “We are very grateful to you guys at Burmor for the sponsorship you have provided us so far. Last season, the team were unbeaten in their 24 league games, 23 wins and 1 draw and as we prepare to move into our next season, you have again provided us with kit and training jackets. The boys have already been wearing this in their preseason preparation, including great successes in a number of summer tournaments”.
The story
Ben also went on to say, “So, a little bit about this amazing group of boys. They are about to head into their second official season, after being a team now for nearly four years. It is the same group of boys that have been together since the very start. They are a group of boys who play great football, but also have become friends who support one another and other members of the community. I'm very passionate about this team. They come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences and I aim to help them achieve every success. This week, the boys took part in a charity event to raise money for the cancer care service at Peterborough hospital, proudly wearing their kits sponsored by Burmor (photo attached)”.
Stars shine for their chosen charity
On Thursday 15th August Deeping took part in a charity football tournament for The Cancer Well Being Service at David Lloyd Club. Despite heavy rain all the teams carried on and as it is such an important charity, every team participating were considered winners.
The Cancer Wellbeing Service provides a wellbeing, support and information service for anyone affected by cancer. Specialist staff are available to offer support, advice and a listening ear through our drop in support service. We also provide a range of services, including individual or group support and information sessions, in an environment where people can meet others in a similar situation so no-one feels isolated or alone.
We use charitable giving to continually improve the support we offer by:
▪️ Increasing our range of courses and support sessions
▪️ Providing materials to support these courses and sessions including complementary therapy
▪️Purchase new furnishings and equipment to further enhance the experience of those using our service.

Ben is also working on raising funds for the team to be flag bearers at a Peterborough United game where the boys would be proudly repping their Burmor sponsored kits on this date.
It is great to continue to support the team, especially as our Head of Construction, Ged Burke’s grandson plays for the team too!
