Proud of our team…

Contractors on the Procure Partnerships framework are collaborating to add social value as a result of being on the framework together. We are working with BAM and Galliford Try on two particular themes, which is Jobs and STEM. Today's event was a STEM event particularly aimed at girls of secondary school age, to give them a flavour of available careers in the construction industry. Our delegates (Megan Bemrose, Francesca Durose and Georgia Freeman) were there to answer questions about their careers in construction, and also to show some of the technology that is used, in our case they were going to demonstrate using Bluebeam on their laptops

#GirlTechWM is a Millennium Point funded project, delivered by Ahead Partnership.

The Millennium Point Trust is a Birmingham based charity whose aim is to increase engagement in science, technology and digital themes, to ensure people are equipped with the relevant skills and knowledge needed to live, work and connect in the modern world

This activity aims to raise awareness and understanding of the STEM sectors, and challenge gender stereotypes within the digital sector. The day intends to bring
businesses together to raise students' aspirations and to improve the employability skills of young people
