Press Release - Grove Gardens

We are pleased to have completed another quality housing project in partnership with our client Cross Keys Homes, and hope the residents will enjoy living in the new properties we have built.

The 27 new homes on this site were built using Modern Methods of Construction, which allowed us to hand the project over three months ahead of schedule, as well as providing high quality, thermally efficient homes for the new residents.

To celebrate the completion of works on the development site, resident Matthew Fisher who recently moved into one of the 3-bedroom shared ownership homes with his partner Sam Franklin, had a bottle of champagne and bouquet of flowers presented to him by CKH Director of New Business Development Gary Norman, together with Andy Gipp Director of Corporate Services and New Business Project Manager, Gemma Reeves, Fenland District Council’s Head of Housing and Neighbourhood Services, Dan Horn, Burmor Construction Director, Patrick Burke, Leader of Fenland District Council and Portfolio Holder for Finance, Councillor Chris Boden and Portfolio Holder for Housing, Councillor Samantha Hoy.

Councillor Hoy said: “These new homes are an excellent example of partnership working to provide more affordable homes which are much-needed within our district. Our work with housing partners is a vital part of our approach to increasing housing supply. There continues to be a great demand for local affordable homes, so opportunities to attract government funding to deliver new homes for shared ownership are welcomed.

“I am sure the new residents in Elm will enjoy their new homes for years to come and I look forward to seeing more developments like this in the coming years.”

Matthew, added: “We absolutely love living here. It’s so peaceful and quiet and it’s great to finally be able to have a home of our own together thanks to Cross Keys Homes’ shared ownership scheme. We couldn’t be more happier with our new home.”
