Bringing hoarding to life
We are taking time to help future generations understand construction by demystifying historical stereotypes, instead showcasing how the industry is a hub of change and creates a pathway that supports the development of a more sustainable world. A recent visit to IntoUniversity in Peterborough got the students thinking about what construction meant to them and how they could artistically portray that. Their assignment following our visit was to come up with a design that would be used in a collage to diversify our hoarding at our site on South St, Stanground for client, Cross Keys Homes.
If only the built environment could be as colourful as these drawings! The effort and thought that went into how homes, schools, and construction sites look, with the use of futuristic vision (and the odd slide thrown in for good measure!) was fantastic to see.
It was a rewarding day when the team came to site for the unveiling of the children’s design, which will be gifted to the centre once the project comes to a close.
Thank you to all of the children who participated for their wonderful additions to our hoarding; it brightens every day on site!
